Okay, these are probably dumb questions but I have a 2880 sitting at home waiting for me when I get back home (yes thats right, im hard at work at the moment ).
I bought the pedal as ive always wanted a looper and because I was going to buy a 4 track recorder anyway to get some decent recordings of the songs that I have written. Is the 2880 the same as a 4 track recorder in terms of recording?
Anyways, onto the main question. My amp is a Blackstar HT5 (great 2 channel valve amp for the money), when connecting it I want it so that the guitar recorded is that of the amp overdriven, do I plug the 2880 in the effects loop to do this? Or is it as simple as plugging the guitar into the 2880 and then the 2880 into the amp. Reading that over it looks like a dumb question and one that I could probably figure out myself when I get home and unbox it, however, if someone would be kind enough as to humour me with an answer it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
EMB
Well if you were to use it as a recorder, you can only record two tracks simultaneously.
I think you could put the 2880 in the FX loop, but if you want the best recorded sound, it’s always best to mic the amp. Because the output tubes, transformer, and speaker all effect the sound greatly.
