Two relatively expensive pitch shift pedals:
One’s polyphonic and you can tell how to operate the unit simply by looking at it. It operates on the principals of synthesis. It’s completely awesome.
One’s monophonic and convoluted. It has multiple patches that you can edit some of the parameters on while others are fixed instead of giving you universal control over the units features.
And that’s one thing that really gets me about digital pedals, something which EHX’s Holiest Grail, HOG, 16 Second Delay, and 2880 AVOID .
I know there are some EHX pedals like the SMMH and Voice Box that have a limited number of knobs that aim to be simpler, and that’s OK because they’re damn good pedals regardless. Though I do prefer the way the HOG and 16SD are set up.
Having all the parameters accessible is a big deal to me.
So yeah, more pedals like the HOG where every single detail is at my fingertips!
(not to knock the Eventide, I’m sure it still sounds pretty good, but I just hate the whole scheme of it)
 Major HOG love here
Agreed.
