hi there! i realise that the answer to this question may involve a non-EHX product, but as most of my pedalboard is EHX, i don’t feel too guilty ! i have a stereo setup and would like to know of a pedal that would allow me to select between the guitar signal being on or off (like a mute switch i guess), BUT the most important thing is that I need one with a very soft switch ( like the (gulp!) BOSS FS footswitches, yes crappy black plastic but quiet) – this is because of the kind of music i play, but also because i’m basically using it as a volume pedal with no swell, if that makes sense, imitating a on/off/ switchable aux send on a mixer to bring in an effects loop.
thanks for any suggestions.
The Boss LS-2 would work, as would the DOD FX30B [which would have a softer footswitch]. Otherwise if you feel like tracking down vintage EHX stuff, they made a panning volume pedal [ie, toe down is signal A, heel down is signal B].
