I have a V3 Small Stone that is in mint condition cosmetically except for this horrendous scratch through the red paint portion of the front. I’d like to fix this if I can. Has anybody here repaired paint scuffs to this pedal before? Is there a specific paint color I can search for? Any help would be appreciated.
Also sorry for the grainy picture, it’s the best I can do without taking a closer pic right now.
Howard Davis does paint touch ups on vintage EHX pedals but while I’m sure he does a good job I doubt it’ll ever look like new.
As there’s lacquer over the paint the repair would require buffing that off, touching up the paint and then re-lacquering it.
It’s probably best to embrace it as part of its history.
I owned a pedal where Howard had touched up the paint, but it wasn’t an exact match. I wish EHX would post that kind of information online to help out people with scratched up pedals.
