Hey All,
New to the boards here. I have a Small Stone EH4800 Phase Shifter. Judging from what I found on http://www.effectsdatabase.com this is an Original V3. One of the guitar techs that I collaberate with gave me this to put up on ebay to sell for him. After plugging it in and trying it out, I may have decided to keep it for myself. The battery compartment door is missing. I would like to get a replacement door if possible. I tried to call EHX but, was unable to get through. I may try back later. Does anyone know if these are available anywhere? Thanks.
Most of the effects using that chassis have been discontinued. They might have some doors still. Contact them at info@ehx.com
Hey Thanks, Do you know about what year this thing is?
No. You can look at the back of the pot (visible thru battery door opening). There’s a number starting w/ 137. The next 2 are the year, last 2 are the week. Actually tells you the pot’s date but it’s considered close enough in most cases.
Very good. Looks like its a 79. Close enough. Thanks again.
V3 is my favorite of the Small Stones. I’ve had them all, and decided it was the one to keep.
Excellent. Just for future referance: I went down and looked through all my pedals and tried out some different battery doors. The one off my Coffin Case Blood Drive is a close fit. It is similar to the Morley Crybaby battery door that are available all over ebay. Will require a slight mod on the opening, but nothing major. I will still hang tight and wait to hear back from EHX and see what they have to say.
