Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Small Stone (might be ’80s vintage?) AC power polarity
Hi —
I recently bought a used Small Stone. Judging from this page…
http://www.pedalarea.com/small_stone.htm
…it appears to be a USA Version 3. Or it might be a current non-Nano one? (It has a red label behind the words “Small Stone.”)
Anyway, I read that the AC cables for the current regular Small Stones have a positive tip. Is this true of the USA Version 3 models as well?
Thanks in advance!
Quick way to tell reissue from vintage:
On the right hand side of the Rate knob
RATE: vintage
STATUS: reissue
Yes, the power supply requires a positive tip, both the vintage units and the NYC (big box) reissue.
Great — thank you!
It’s a reissue — thanks for clearing that up!
So it also has an LED? Not a dead giveaway since someone could’ve added one. Just did that myself to an 80’s unit.
Yes, it does have a LED. It looks like it was made that way at the factory, as it also has a little black (plastic?) ring around it.
