Hi – new member and first post, so go easy
I have a Russian small stone v3 and I love it. If I get the new neo stone, just so I can fit more on a pedal board, will it create the same amazing sound or will I be sacrificing sound for space?
Cheers,
Steve
I assume it would it not cost any real damage as far as keeping the same sound. I checked a video where it had side by side by side comparison with the Russian v3, the next generation of small stone (the version that looks like the original small clone) and the current nano form and it seemed to replicate the original pretty well. If I remember correctly, both are 4 stage phasers while the bad stone is 6 stage. Plus the small stone says on its page here on EHX that it is analog so what could you really be sacrificing? That is what I know as of now. If you are ever unsure, test one out where they have it near by and/or call EHX themselves to clarify anything. Whether they are biased or not it does not hurt to get a second or maybe a few more opinions on this scenario.
Cheers
I am sorry but to clarify are you talking about the small stone in nano form? Because you mentioned neo stone which confused me since neo clone is a chorus while small stone is a different pedal
