I sort of like how they are handpainted because it’s unique from every other one thats made. But if i do get the fuzz probe, it may be the only zvex pedal i’ll get because of the prices of them.
I like, the look, of the hand-painted ones. However, I would never buy one new. I just don’t care for the owner. Granted, I’ve never met him. I have has a couple email replies, from him, and he was helpful. I’ve seen interviews and posts, from him, and based on those, I choose not to spend my money with Zvex. It is not about the money either. There is a cheaper company, that I refuse to do business with too. With all that said, I do like my BOR.
If a used Fuzz Probe came my way? Yes, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
I gotta agree, I think Boss (and others, MXR, Ibanez, DOD, etc) have made some great pedals over the years and I think the good thing is in most cases they are different enough to offer a genuine choice to people. (not just price and what the casing looks like)
….anyway no one has ever made a pedal as great as the DOD punkifier, that pedal is a total car
crash and I love it!! (I know this is an extreme minority view on any forum!!!)
you smacked it..
i love the ibanez black noise Distortion ESPECIALLY into a randall warhead feedback
for days.. so i see where you mean with the minority vote!
MXR phase, Ibanez TS9, DOD envelope filter, all ledge shizzle..
i proper prefer the old DOD ice box chorus.. instead of the small clone..
If I had some stomach flu or a decent hangover, I reckon I would vomit at the sound of the Small Clone’s deliciously nauseating tone. Just a thought, and I believe it is more relavent to the topic than MXR, DOD, and smacking it. (Not to be a doucher, I’m just saying).
I think when you have a stomach flu, just about any guitar sound will make you pray to the porcelain god.
I think if you had the stomach flu, you’d vomit at anything.
someone almost vomited on me a few days ago, but i have awesome reflexes and moved out of the way just in time.
I really miss my Small Clone…
I normally hate chorus but I liked the faster Leslie sounds it made. And it was vintage and all scratched up…perfect.
Sounds criminally good through an electric piano.
