Anyone else getting tonesuck with a small clone? Would it improve with a power supply?

it depends what you mean by ‘tonesuck’ ?

how old is the small stone?

brand new out of the box. it seems to have slightly less power when the unit is on. it came with 9v battery in it and connected. could the battery just be dying?

i don’t think i’ve had tone suck with mine, but when the battery does start to die, the effect is weaker, so i guess you could change the battery and see what happens.

yeah ive never had that problem and i use a power adapter, i do notice a slight volume boost tho. witch is odd, because im used to getting a volume drop from sum effects.

i’m getting an adapter anyway. we’ll see if it improves. thanks for your input.
I may also try it through the amp’s effect loop instead of running the guitar directly through it.

sometimes cruddy batteries are to blame. If it says golden power or whatever it’s usually suspect. Power supplies usually fix those kinds of problems.

sounds better now that i’m using a power supply instead of a crappy 9v battery.
