I have a Small Clone that whether it’s plugged into a power supply or batteries, I have to hit the switch 10 – 20 times before it will come on, the light will show it’s on but the chorus doesn’t activate..
any help would be appreciated..

December 22, 2008 at 11:45 am #89458McSpunckleMemberMaybe the switch is broken. I dunno how those things are constructed, but if it’s a new one, it should have a 3PDT switch, which is effectively 3 switches. The one for the LED might still be working, but something else isn’t.
That’s my best guess, since you aren’t getting a lot of weirdo noises.
Try it with no power as well. If it cuts off when you step on the switch, it may be something else.
Note: I’m not an engineer. Just sexy. And I know a little about electronics. But mostly just sexy.
*edit*
Given the last post, I may be wrong about how it switches.
December 22, 2008 at 11:50 am #89459The EH ManModeratorDoes the LED switch on/off when you step on the footswitch? The LED is part of the switching circuit. If it’s operating normally I’d have to say there’s a bad FET on the switching.
December 22, 2008 at 2:50 pm #89465IndianScoutMemberyes the light turns on and off like it’s supposed too, just no change in sound

December 22, 2008 at 8:32 pm #88330Ned FlandersModeratorI would contact EHX via email, they’ll let you know about repair etc.

Don’t be discouraged by a lack of response to your email. It normally takes about a day before they get back to you. Although, you’re right in assuming they may be out for holiday already. Just letting you know that its not typical to get an answer the same day. Least that has been my experience.
December 23, 2008 at 5:22 pm #89560IndianScoutMemberI’m in no hurry, once I get it turned on for a gig, I just leave it on, if I don’t need the chorus for a song I just turn the dial down..
as musicians we always learn to make a way around things
ehehe
Happy Holidays everyone ! ! !
December 27, 2008 at 10:56 pm #89734IndianScoutMemberstill no response from EH

December 29, 2008 at 1:59 pm #89781BlueSteelParticipantThe switch could be broken somehow? I don’t know much about electronics so that’s my best guess.
