so i’ve done some small clone mods that were listed in these forums. ive done basicaly everything except the tremolo one for now.. i’ve changed the depth switch with a 100k pot. ive done the vibrato mod, the Fast LFO mod and iv changed the clock cap from 150pf to 330pf.
when i plugged in through my amp.. the bypased signal has less volume and gain than normal.. its like the pedal is sucking my volume an gain up. and when engaging the effect the volume comes up to normal. any ideas? does it have to do with the Bias trimpot? or?
ah and btw i have a question if i my small clone is true bypass. my switch is one of the black dpdt and not the blue 3dpt.
thanks in advance
It’s not true-bypass.
is this volume suck due to that the pedal is not true bypass?. cause its only when its off and bypased that the volume and gain is dropped. i know how to wire the small clone to true bypass. will i go for it? a btw will it be possible with a dpdt? or should i need a 3pdt?
You can do it w/ a DPDT but you’ll have no LED. The LED will need to be connected so it’s always on.
oh ok then so i just leave the ground and led connector out. ill try if this will work… i hope its not something i made in the cuircuit causing the volume problem
The LED needs to be on all the time. It’s part of the circuit. Just take the 2 wires on the switch and connect them together.
i did not understand the last post
You need to have the LED on all the time. Voltage travels through it to an FET which turns the chorusing on/off. It needs the voltage to keep the chorus on.
ah ok thanks for the info
