Anyone here ever tried running a small clone or small stone at a higher voltage?
…without frying it?
This does not sound like a good idea :worried:
i’ve never tried it and never will because i’m afraid of killing it.
hahaah I know some 9 volt pedals can actually handle 12 volts with cool results…but i guess no one has tried it out maybe if i find cheap used one i’ll try it one day. I don’t wanna risk breaking my shiny new one.
the small clone sounds cool though when the battery is dying. it gets a sort of really cool fuzz-chorus sound.
the guy from the t-rex video “mostly 9 volt pedals, they can take 12 volts” er not really
Hi ! Someone made this test ? Or the EHX experts could tell us, an answer ??
I would like to try on my Small Clone, big box
I love it but I have some clipping because of my high output pickups..
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You may blow a protection diode
No reason to run it at 12V olts
Im so sad ????
It was To decrease the clipping..
Some serious pedal modders gave this advice.. they said there was no problem to do this
Thanks
Well write the techs, they may share a different view.
