Hey guys,
I just got my Silencer and the noise is quit wild, very difficult to setup, the noise is persistent, to make it work I have to turn the thresh on 3pm making the sound guitar very opaque and I do not like it. Since you are the Gurus-Alchemist I am begging for your help on how I am supposed to set up these magic pedals.
Mr. Chip Scooter Dugan from EH said on an email he answer to this problem: “Basically you can put the Silencer before your distortion units or noise creating pedals. That is where most have found it works best NOT in the end of the signal chain.”
I think this does not make any sense because I am trying to filter all the noise from guitar and pedals, if I place the Silencer before pedals I am just filtering the noise from the guitar not the pedals.
This is my setting pedals:
Guitar – Korn Tuner – BigMuff – Ravish Sitar – Silencer – Amplifier or JamHub.
I appreciate your input in this matter.
Thank you.
1.) The *noise* comes out of the pick up of the guitar it is doubled
into the distortion circuit. When you filter the *Noise*/hum/his
before it gets into the distortion circuit it can not be doubled.
The distortion unit itself is quiet.
2.) My Big Muff is the last effect in my signal path.
Try to put the moddeling pedal in front of it.
Hey Gemather,
It work so beautifully thank you so very much, I must say: SILENCER DOES WORK AS EXH SAID!!!
Now I am super happy costumer.
Again, Thank you.
