if im not mistaken, the cap should preserve the trebble. usually caps are used for filtering the right frequencies, or rather, choosing a desired frequency range. but im really a noob
in this case cap is acting like lowpass filter: high frequences above certain value just goes to the ground through 220pF cap. it’s obvious. and pot is not depend on it. so i can’t understand why engineers of ehx do that.
I have a Creamy Compressor onboard my Godin LGX-SA. It has the very nice feature that when you engage the thing via a pull-pot, you can set a volume. Problem solved. And, no, I don’t have a VOL knob on my guitar. I find the things useless & way too much trouble to deal with or think about……..
