hello all, so I my big muff but i’m looking for somthing to boost it and also give a different sound maybe even overdrive. Can you guys me some suggestions for pedals between £40 and £60 (basically up to $110)
I picked up an Electro-Harmonix LPB-1 and it does a great job providing a boost and once you get past 12:00 on the knob, it provides some decent overdrive. I bought one new on Amazon for $39 (US). Not sure if this is what you were looking for but it pairs nicely with my Big Muff Pi.
Yea, the lpb-1 is great. or maybe a bouble muff. from the vids i’ve seen, it seems pretty cool.
i already have one what are your thoughts on the bss ds1 and mxr dist +
I was actually going suggest a ds-1 also. its a pretty good distortion and it sounds good with a big muff pi. i haven’t tried any mxr distortions though. or maybe a tubescreamer, those sound cool also.
If you go for the DS-1, it’s well worth saving up a bit more for the Keeley Seeing Eye/Ultra mod. I have one of those and it’s just killer (minus the blue status LED, which is superannoying )
mmm….no-one said ‘rat’ yet??
….OK, I will then.
RAT!
which one
any…. I like the regular, dirty and turbo versions. Thet are the same pedal apart from the clipping section, the regular rat uses diodes, the dirty uses germanium diodes and the turbo uses LED’s.
they all sound good to me.
done some research the regular one is made in china and the dirty and turdo are usa made for the visual sound 1spot what adaptor does it take.
same as a big muff…..mini headphone jack stylee.
