ok i know theres the new screaming bird and a classic model. but i also have seen a classic pedal only in pics called the screaming tree. is the bird a mini model of the tree (like the bad/small stone) or reverse, or maybe a diff thing all togeather?
and for that matter, do anyone remember a grunge band in the early 90’s called the Screaming Tree’s? i never herd them just know of them from reading books about Nirvana and Kurt years ago. are they possibly named after the EH pedal?
The Screaming Tree and Screaming Bird are the same thing except for different housings. The vintage Screaming Bird was a plug-in treble booster, like the original LPB-1 and Muff fuzz. The Screaming Tree was the same circuit but in a floor box w/ a footswitch.
I remember there being a band called the Screaming Trees but I don’t know anything about them.
one of my favorite bands ever, yes named after the pedal….but not really ‘grunge’ they were around in the 80’s and are more psycadelic rock, but did get noticed around the ‘grunge’ period. (they signed to a major)
