Hello,
I just got a NIB never used bass big muff pi from the classified section of a bass guitar web site. It works great, but when turning the tone knob I get a scratchy sound. Once the tone is set it is fine. I opened the back of the pedal to try and blow the pot with canned air, but the circuit board is covering the tone pot. I don’t feel that confident taking everything apart. I’d appreciate any advice/help. I can also live with the scratchy sound, but just thought I’d see if it can be taken care of.
Thanks!!
Maybee it is the circuit itself. I have the same issue.
It is a very softly scratchy sound on the tone knob.
Not a hard crackle as on my Super Hard On booster.
Thanks for responding. You described the sound perfectly. I wonder if other folks have this happening on their Bass Big Muff Pi’s as well. Not a big deal. It sure is a cool fuzz pedal. I’m really enjoying it.
