I have an old black sovtek muff that I really dig is the box I always come back to for fuzz. The tone and sustain knobs have gotten quite scratchy sounding over the years. Is there some sort of cleaner I can buy to sort this out?
i found this item to be the best cleaner for those type of issues, they even sell “pot” adapters to make sure it gets into everything it needs to clean.
The pot cleaner may or may not work. Try it. You can also open up the pot and carefully clean the strip with cleaner or isopropanol, then put it back together again. Or just put in a new pot.
