More and more EHX (and different company’s) effect boxes and Synths
allow an Expression pedal to get connected.
EHX recommends EXP pedals from different companies, and doesnt have an own one…
I am not so happy with cheapo solutions (weak plastic , string system , over bulky design and things alike…)Why not offer a solid Expression pedal ????
The new Wah pedal is really a supercool encasing for an EXP pedal.
and the electronics inside would be a piece of cake…A few small extra features :
1) covers pot values not only 10 kOhm (as for EHX) but adjustable up to 50 (250) kOhm
2)reverse switch for potentiometer polarity inside
3)adaptable jack contacts for “all over compatibility” with all brands of boxes/synths…There is no standard for EXP pedals ,
so this EXP pedal could cover the requirements for all the different needs.I am shure this idea is not new for EHX.
There is a huge market for EXP pedals esp. for “Cool ones”
count me in as a beta tester pleaseMay 10, 2012 at 8:38 am #117522DiscoFreqParticipantThere will be an expression pedal soon, in the same enclosure and with the same technology as the new Crying Tone Wah:

Thats really good news !
I hope with adjustable potentiometer values up to 50 kOhm as well.Anything else can be modded easily…(reverse switch and jack connections)

Not sure how easy that will be, it’s quite special without moving parts etc.
May 10, 2012 at 9:39 am #117525WalterMemberSo lets hope that EHX is doing a good job ,(as most of the time) ,
and offers an “Universal Solution” for all kind of boxes , pedals , and synths..
(my modified Wavedrum WDX would be soooo happy with such an EXP pedal)
and my DMMTT of course .
why only make a business with EHX users ,
There is a huge market and a lot of confusion about EXP pedals ,
the more compatible ,the better it is …May 21, 2012 at 1:51 am #117582StarkMemberQuote:There will be an expression pedal soon, in the same enclosure and with the same technology as the new Crying Tone Wah:
https://www.ehx.com/products/crying-toneThank you! I did not expect to find an answer so easily.
I’ve only had my first EH pedal (Memory Boy) for a couple months, but I love it.
