Out of curiosity, has anyone repaced the pair of EHX tubes that come stock with their Black Finger pedals or other tube circuit pedals?
If so, any do’s / don’ts? My black finger has become very noisy, in a scratchy, poppy way, not a compressed, white noise…. even without a signal going though it…… I’ve heard it controlled and what’s it’s up to now, is not.
I’ll start by taking them out, cleaning connections, etc. but in case I need to, is it ok to swap with third party tubes? I have a pair of matched Ruby tubes sitting around.
it will work as long as it is a compatible tube type
