I just got a Flanger Hoax yesterday. When I opened the box at home I discovered that two of the knobs do not sit straight on the shaft but at a slightly tilted angle. I tried to gently pull them off with my hand but that wouldn’t work. Is there a way to remove the knobs without breaking them or are they glued to the shaft?
they aren’t glued but they are tight (pushed on with a machine) if they aren’t quite straight it might be better to give them a push onto the shaft (with a bit of pressure) rather than trying to pull them off, that might straighten them out I’d suspect that they aren’t sitting right down.
Thanks. I put my whole weight on it but they wouldn’t move..
I took it back to the store this morning. They removed the knobs by carefully lifting them up from underneath with a screwdriver. Turned out that the shins of the pot shafts were not in parallel. After they adjusted them, the knobs fitted nice and straight. Yay!
