Hi folks, I have a 2000’s big box DMM with “hockey puck” knobs. I’m looking to replace them with the older pointer knobs, as they look more slick to me.
Couple quick questions:
Are all pointer knobs created equal? I see some online that are D shaft… Are the hockey pucks D shaft as well? Will this be a simple drop and replace?
How do I remove the knobs without damaging anything?
Anyone know where I can buy these pointer knobs? I’m looking for an “official” source like an electronics site, not some ebay seller.
Thanks for any help!
Just did some digging and found these: http://www.daviesmolding.com/Catalog/Series/Knobs/Control.aspx?KnobType=&KnobDiameter;=&MountingDiameter;=&MountingType;=&MaterialType;=&SeriesID=1470
They look exactly like the knobs I’m looking for. I guess my question now is will these simply fit right on my DMM? Thanks.
Your pedal probably has splined shafts on the pots. I’m not sure if the pointer knobs are available in that format.
