    Hi all

I’m just wondering what you would recommend to compliment a Memory Boy. Been playing guitar quite a while, but mainly acoustic, now getting more into electrickery.

I’ve a Boss Dynadrive DN2, which kicks in when I play hard. I’ve a Valvetronix that I use for home recording when I need something, but I’ve never really gotten my head around the footpedal so I tend to work out what I need then play to that.

I don’t really have a “sound” that I want to create but I like a wide range of artists from Abba to the Velvet Underground, and from Zeppelin to Taylor Swift! I suppose of late I’ve headed more towards a “country” sound, away from harder rock….tho currently in the car I have half of Paul Weller’s solo stuff – I know, contradictions.

In a nutshell, I guess I like songwriters that aren’t afraid to experiment.

    Any advice, thoughts, greatly appreciated.

How about a digital delay? The Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is wonderful. Otherwise maybe some kind of filter like the Riddle?

    Thanks.

I’ve opted for the Memory Boy.

    Any other suggestions gratefully received.

the memory boy is okay, but there are a lot of much better analog delays out there. for $150, the carbon copy’s a great, basic analog delay. if you want a lot of customization in your tone, and want to stick with ehx, i’d get the DELUXE memory boy. for 60 bucks more, you get a ton: tap tempo, tap divide, twice as many knobs, it’s a great deal.
