Hi, eveybody, I play guitar in a Baltimore based “Exotic Groove Metal” band called Cryptic Matter. My band is about to release our debut self titled physical album on June 8th, and the digital album is already available on iTunes and bandcamp. Our album features extensive use of the Ravish Sitar pedal.
I pasted a link above to our youtube clip “What is Exotic Groove Metal?” which shows short clips of various songs from our debut album that highlights the use of the Ravish Sitar pedal in our songs.
Band Bio: “Cryptic Matter is a Baltimore based band. The cross-pollination of Steve’s metal guitarwork with Justin’s funk-rock drumming resulted in Cryptic Matter’s unique sound, “Exotic Groove Metal,” characterized by heavy guitar riffs/solos written in exotic scales (gypsy minor, Japanese pentatonic, Phrygian-Dominant), sitar simulators, Middle-Eastern drones, ethnic percussion, and hypnotic bellydancing-like drum beats. Meanwhile, Adam weaves funky/groovy bass lines underneath Devin’s screamo/hip-hop vocal attack.”
