Home › Forums › Vintage EHX › Ram’s head Frequency Analyzer question
Hi,
I have a Ram’s Head version Frequency Analyzer, in the original box, near mint condition – the pedal is basically perfect, the box has some damage. I’m thinking about selling and was wondering if anyone knew a fair asking price. It is the black printed version, not purple printing. Also, it came with a white 2-prong chord, which I think may not be original – seems like a standard power chord you would get at a hardware store. Anyone know what kind of power chord these came with?
Thanks!
Jordan
First, before you claim it is in mint condition you need to test the pedal out. Make sure all the pots have there full range of functionality. Cosmetic mint is one thing, but a large percentage of pedals from the period have functional problems. It’s just what happens when electronics age.
Unfortunately, the frequency analyzer is not one of the more desirable models, but I could imagine you could get at least $300-400 for it
Does the pedal have the option to run on batteries?
I also have an original Rams head Frequency Analyzer and am having a really hard time finding a proper power cord for it.The only way that most regular 2 prong cords would work is if you do extensive cutting and trimming of the “female” ends of the cord.Since these pedals run on 120V AC,there s no battery option available for them.I wish that EHX would reissue the proper extension cords for the F.A. as I’m sure that there are many musicians who are in the same boat that I’m in and can’t find a suitable and “safe” cord for old original Frequency Analyzers.
