Hi everyone
I just bought a Big Muff pedal for Christmas but seem to be having problems with it and was wondering whether anyone here can help me? What’s happening is that when I use the pedal I actually seem to lose volume. In fact, you can barely hear anything at all. I’ve put in a new 9v battery and that hasn’t helped at all. I’m using a Epiphone Dot and Line 6 Flextone 3 amp. I’ve swapped out the pedal with a digital delay pedal and that’s working fine, but when I then change it back to the Big Muff, same problem, no sound. Any ideas or help appreciated.
PS Also tried the pedal with a Fender Tele and exactly the same problem.
sounds like it’s faulty, you’ll have to speak to the person why gave it to you and get them to return it to where they bought it.
Agreed. Its faulty!
Is it a new one or a vintage one? Post pics…
I’ve seen this with vintage muffs due to: dirty toggle switch, dried up electrolytics, knackered pots, bad footswitch.
They’re all easy fixes, which is nice.
If it’s a modern SMC one though…
