quick question:
re: 1970’s green logo flanger
iehttp://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250646611488
is the connector required on the 18v power supply a standard 2.1mm jack, ie same as the usual ‘boss’ guitar power connector…?
i’m in australia so looking at this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380240162183
voltage etc seems fine, but checking the connector compatibility first.
cheers!

ether way if you want it get it! there’s always a way to adapt it to work in your area.

weird, and these type of power supplies are rare as hens teeth in australia… i can get a multi connector set but… how weird….!
June 10, 2010 at 10:48 pm #101497Mr.GrimMemberthe modern one your used to with the center pin (2.1mm) is the modern standard, they became popular do to the mass manufacturing of pedals coming out of japan that used them.
before the mass Japan manufacturing, the mono phono plug was the U.S. standard when building there pedals and other audio equipment for years. they more recently dropped the use of this adapter to make it more convenient to all and go with the now Boss style jack. sum of EH’s pedals still use the old style plug, for example the Small Clone.
