Hello mods and fellow forum members,
As a long time user of many big box Deluxe Memory Man, I’d like to know if the repeats of the new DMMTT with 1100ms are as clear and good sounding as the lower delay times. I really wonder about this because my big boxes often lacked the proper ‘bandwidth’ to produce clear repeats on higher delay times over 500ms. You can really hear those BBD chips max out (I know this is because the old ones have 2xMN3005 or 4x MN3008).
I read in the manual that you can tap in 1500ms and that it gets very ‘Lo-Fi’. I’d like to know if the unit can live up to the 1100ms without producing excessive noise or getting ‘Lo-Fi’.
I assume it will because it has 4x MN3005 chips.
-Yet, I would like some confirmation that it can do the 1100ms or at least 1s delays without
decrease of the sound quality.
-There is the modulation section in the pedal but it is unclear to me which sort of modulation.
Is both the good old chorus and ‘haunting vibrato’ inside and identical to the old units but with
more adjustment possibilities?
Thanks a lot in advance for answers!
From my experience, the sound quality is everything you’d want..
The issue maybe getting the exact tempo you require through the tap button, or
Just finding one for sale sale without having to sell a kidney to get it.
Also the dials seem more active, so smaller adjustments get better results.
