Hey everybody. I have a silver, big box qtron that has been acting up lately. Sometimes when I engage the pedal I get this staticky/fuzz sound when I am playing that wasn’t there before. It still works there is just this fuzzy, static along with it. I can usually get it to go away and sound like it normally should if I turn the pedal off and then back on a few times. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
I spoke with someone from EHX about a possible repair. My main concern is that they will be using new parts if a repair is needed. I don’t want my sound to change. I think the older q-trons sound better than the new models and are closer to the mutron sound as well. He said it could possibly change the sound. Has anyone had repair done, does it change the sound? Does it make it sound like the new models? Any other options to keep this thing original? I don’t want it to end up being a newer sounding q-tron in an old body. Thanks
