I just bought the QTron+ to add a little funk to my bass playing and I’ve run into a slight problem. Quite simply, the bypass switch seems to….not work right? Sometimes pressing the switch applies the effect perfectly, sometimes the effect seems to dampen the entire sound so all I (barely) hear is a muted sound, and sometimes it’s just totally silent. Turn the effect off and you hear the clean signal clear as day. This also happened while we were recording and I was DI’d so it’s nothing to do with my amp. I’m not layering any effects underneath it while this happens either. Did I just luck out and get a faulty pedal? I did buy it off Amazon.com, was that a mistake? I know I can send it back, since it’s still under warranty. How do I go about doing that?
Either use some electric contact cleaner on it and see if that works or take it back to the store you got it from.
yeah, sounds like a duff switch….try cleaning it like Julian has mentioned….if you need to send it to EHX for repair under warranty you can get in touch with ehx and they will tell you how to go about that.
contact details are here.
Hi! If it’s true bypass the switch should be wired like this:
