I went to the guitar store to try out a Q Tron at the recommendation of Fender&EHX4ever;…VERY COOL. Does a LOT more than the wakka wakka disco funk thing that had me turned off about it.
This Q Tron is the big box design…it is new…But the ON/OFF light stays ON even when the pedal is disengaged. The overdrive light acts correctly, but the red light at the top left is always on.
Any ideas as to what is wrong? How difficult is it to fix? And how much could I get off the price for the problem?
The light is a power indicator, not a bypass LED.
Any tech could rewire it into a bypass LED.
Oh ok…weird…EHx sure does some weird stuff.
Light on DMM is Bypass LED
Light on Q Tron is power indicator
DEM has no light!
Thank you EH Man!
I posted a short how to to fixing the light issue.
Turns it into an effect on/off indicator instead of the dumb power on light.
