I had a 1st edition Q-Tron (stamped steel chassis) that operated and sounded perfect, never an issue. However, to reduce the real estate it was taking up on my pedal board I swapped it for a 2nd edition (die cast chassis) unit. The biggest problem with the 2nd edition is the extremely loud ‘pop’ when actuating the bypass. Subsequent actuation’s reduce the ‘pop’ but it seems to never fully go away. Any suggestion?
Sonically, the 2nd edition is inferior as well (IMHO), but there is probably nothing I can about that other than return to a 1st edition pedal.
