Home › Forums › Vintage EHX › Pulse Modulator : help needed :-)
Hello, just received a Pulse Modulator from the ealy 70’s which looks in great shape, works… as intended ? I don’t know, I have never heard or seen one video of it:bug:
The reason I wonder if it is in perfect working order ? I found a “free” capacitor inside… I also found that a transistor (2N5133) and a similar capacitor were soldered on the trace side.
I would really appreciate that a happy Pulse Modulator owner takes pictures of his units guts… Or just help me because he knows how much capacitors like this one should be there, on the board
Here are extra pictures showing both sides of the board. I traced blue lines to should where It looks modified, repaired or whatever.
Otherwise, the pedal seems to work fine :
– Boost is ok on the boost output
– Some kind of a weird sequenced tremolo. The third volume from the left, seems to act like a master volume for this tremolo…
Looking forward to hear from you all:gulp:

It’s very common for EH stuff to have parts mounted on the bottom of the board. If I can get to my Pulse Modulator (in storage) I’ll see if I can get some pics of it.
Hello,
thanks for this fast answer and yes, lots of components found on both sides of EHX pedals I have
I’ll keep that Pulse Modulator “open” until you post some pictures… No rush !
