Hi, thanks for having me.
HUM! I get hum and a really distorted signal. What could be wrong? Or what am I doing wrong? I’m running a condenser into the preamp, into an Mbox Focusrite (line source), and into my computer. It’s a low and very consistent hum that is not affected by any adjustment on the preamp. Thanks
Anyone? I’m kinda desperate. Any suggestion would be appreciated a lot.
My best guess is the hum is related to how you are powering something. Either the preamp or the MBox. Now the distorted signal is related to how you are ‘sending’ and ‘receiving’ the signal. Check for pad switches, check for mic/line switches. Something will cause a level mismatch and be the culprit.
