Background: I’ve had this 1978 EM for a little over a year now. Recently I took it to a shop for some basic maintenance, but after they examined and told me how much it was going to cost I decided not to have the work done. When I brought it home, it sounded like this:

I really don’t want to go back to that place, as not only is it quite far from where I live, and I’m certain they’re going to charge me for repairing (they claim all they did was open it up and clean up some of the parts). Anyone know what could be wrong with it?
The video has it starting on the filter matrix mode, then switched to the flange.
