Hey Guys,
It’s been one of those 5 hour epic-troubleshoots here for what should be a simple task. Any thoughts are appreciated!
I am trying to load the SD Card on the 45000 with a single loop and it won’t play it. I made sure, as the manual specifies, that it’s a .wav file at 44.1khz/16-bit. It’s only a few seconds in length. I edited the .txt document as per directions. For whatever reason, the unit will not play it at all. It treats it like a blank loop. Then I go to the next loop and I can play all of the Factory Drum Loops it came with.
I’ve tried:
*Copying the loop 5 times in a folder and labeling it “TRACK1.wav, TRACK2.wav” etc.
*Just having the loop in a folder as “TRACKM.wav” and using blank loops for the tracks like the way the drum loop folders have it.
*Leaving the .txt file “as is” just to see if it will play in whatever BPM as it specifies.
*Changing the loop from mono to stereo as a testI can definitely play the drum loops and my own loops on my laptop straight from the SD Card. It should work!
Thanks again for any thoughts!

They emailed me a zip file and a .pdf with instructions on how to install it–it worked!
February 20, 2015 at 1:18 pm #120547bellsparxParticipantHello, I am having the same problem. I cannot load normal WAV Files to the 45000. The 45000 simply does not recognize the loop. I have read here in a thread that there is a software update for this problem. I have also read a thread here that a folder configuration has to be changed in order for the 45000 to recognize the wav file. I have tried both of these suggestions without success. I then contacted EHX and explained the problem. The specialist had no information concerning a software update. I also explained the suggestions concerning the Folder Configuration. He had no information concerning this procedure. His suggestion was to reformat the SD Card. I thought this was a strange suggestion, since the SD was working and processing Loops from EHX. I asked him if he had any other suggestions. He said when that doesn’t work then I should contact him again. After trying his suggestion, and having no success, I tried to contact EHX again concerning this problem. I was greeted on the telephone from a seemly disintrested person on the other line who transfered me to the Technical Department. I was then transfered promptly to a voice mail. I left a message describing the situation again and my contact info. A day later I tried the same, and was again greeted by disinterest, then transferred to the Technical department, and promptly to a voice mail. I have also since sent an email with a wax attachment with no response to date. I bought the 45000 with this feature which I could use if our Bass player could not attend all of our gigs. At this point the 45000 is becomming a money pit because I have to call New York from Germany, just to talk to a voice mail. We are also cancelling gigs where the Bassplayer can not attend!! Please Help!!!I am quite frustrated
February 24, 2015 at 6:03 am #120554largealMemberHello. I had commented about this in the other 45000 SD card thread: If all else fails, you can still always record the part right into the 45000 in REAL time (playing it back) INTO the 45000 Looper, Not onto a card outside of the Looper.
here is what i said:
So, after a few attempts, the Fastest solution that i found or work around was to just play your track or tracks and Record them directly INTO the 45000 in Real time, then you can go from there adding parts or such, it’s a work around idea that does work if you get burned out experimenting and just want to start working.
Hope this helps.February 24, 2015 at 7:16 pm #120560bellsparxParticipantHello,Thanks for your reply.I actually did see your post. The promise that the 45000 can directly play back wav files was what sold me. My plan was to take raw tracks from our CDs of the bass and synth and directly copy them to the 45000. That way I would have no sync issues and I could mix the wav files live and separate from each other. I have since had an email reply from John, who is out of the office until tomorrow. I really do hope he can resolve my issue. I have sent all six tracks to him, and hope he will find the problem. Did you ever get the problem resolved?

You might experiment while you are waiting for some factory reply. I used a stereo cable and played my studio stereo track into 2 tracks of the looper, it worked perfectly and then i could overdub or add loops to the parts from my studio.Keep us posted if EH has any helpful news anyway.
February 27, 2015 at 7:44 pm #120565bellsparxParticipantSo the problem has been solved by John at EHX! The TrackM.wav track was not a stereo file. I was copying a mono file to TrackM and the 45000 was not recognizing the file. As soon as I converted the mono file to stereo, the Looper worked perfectly. I am really excited about this looper now!

Did he mention how to upload 3 or 4 separate tracks via the card so the looper can see and play those “separated” tracks or can it only play 1 stereo Mix track?
I haven’t really spent much time with this yet or experimented, curious if it can work this way. -
