Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Power Supply for Black Finger in Europe?
Hi!
I’m interested to purchase a EHX Black Finger and other EHX pedals, but the first will be the Black Finger.I’m from Spain, and we have here 220V,not 110v like US.I will buy the pedal (all the EHX pedals) in usa…
I read that the Black Finger works to 300v,and comes with a special PS.This PS works from 110V to output 300v?only works in one way or I can choose the input voltage between 110 or 220v?
If I purchase this pedal in USA,I should to change the PS?
It’s able to use in a multi-adapter (1 adapter, several outputs for several EHX pedals)?
Thank you.
The tube pedals require their own specific PSU.
You can buy a replacement EU power supply easily and cheaply; check with your local EHX dealer or distributor…
or buy one from Thomann: http://www.thomann.de/es/electro_harmonix_12ac_1000_eu_netzadapter.htm
The power supply actually changes the 220vac to 12vac. That 12vac is run into another transformer connected backwards to give a larger voltage.
Oh sorry EH,but this means that with the PSU that comes with the Black Finger,I can connect it to an european voltage? How might be the other transformer and what is “connected backwards”?Sorry, but I don’t be an expert in electronics…
Thanks!
You need a 220vac to 12vac adapter. The proper one is the EHX EU12AC-1000
Google search brought up this: http://www.google.com/search?q=EU12AC-1000&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Ok,Thank you.
