I just got my BMPTW. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. I will when I get home. I presume it came with a battery but I was trying to check that out and the screws on the bottom are in SO tightly that I think I stripped them trying to unscrew them. Assuming I’m unable to get it open, I will use a power supply. The question is this, can I use the same power supply that came with my Memory Boy? If not I guess I’ll have to get a new one unless I can get this darn thing open!
Also, if there is a battery in there, will it be bad to leave it in for the life of the pedal (remember i CANNOT get the thing open).
As you can tell I’m a total novice electronically. Here’s a little more info. The Memory Boy rated as needing 45mA @ 9VDC. The Big Muff needs 50mA @ 9VDC. Would they use the same power supply (ie. the one that came with the Memory Boy.) Thank you very much.
Never mind. I did some research on the net and found that the MB ships with the US96DC-200BI power supply which is the same one recommended for use with the BMPTW so I think I’m all good. I can’t wait to try the pedal out when I get home. Sorry to bother you.
