I just bought it on eBay today. $375. How could I resist? So now I’m selling off stuff I have doubles of to afford it – Electric Mistress, Small Stone, and possibly my second Flanger Hoax 😥

Here’s the crap pic that was in the auction. The original knobs were switched out for chrome tele knobs, which doesn’t bother me in the slightest; but he says that everything else is stock.

Currently do not have a decent pedalboard picture, but i will take one soon. Hopefully this week after i buy an EHX pedal, its about time.

I’d say it’s about time. How can you be a Radiohead fan and not own a PolyChorus or a Small Stone? :nono:

I don’t understand why people wouldn’t appreciate that. Clearly each have their differences (i even notice that the duplicate RAT 2 has an extra switch), and its good to be able to select between variations of the same distortion to suit different songs – I’ve heard J Mascis does this with his Big Muffs.

I find myself wanting to get a RAT lately, too

truthfully, they do all sound different… even the two Rat 2s which are on the board; the box-shaped one is my main pedal which i’ve had for around 15 years. the one with the extra switches and knob is a newer model which i’ve modded in several ways – with some settings it doesn’t sound anything like a Rat.
the two clones are different too; (GGG is ‘vintage’ spec’d and BYOC is a You-Dirty-Rat/Turbo Rat hybrid).

having said all of that, the actual board was a joke… after picking up the You Dirty Rat recently for a bargain price, i mentioned to melx that i could make a Rat Board now.

sometimes i’ll have two on my main board but not often. i usually just chain them together in different combos in the studio. having them all on one board, all wired up was handy though… maybe this’ll become a permanent arrangement. 😆

i’va actually got another one (Rat 2) too… but that’s on indefinate loan to my brother!
