well ,as you can see i´m pretty much crazy about EH´s pedals ,this is the board i use live with my band ,TEMPER ,i use four main sounds:
clean ,compressed ( only for the electrics twelve strings and mandolin ) ,overdriven (english muff´n ) ,and fuzzed-out (cluster starfox ) .
for a volume kick in solos i stomp the lpb-1 ,the hazarai i use it extensively for delays ,loops ,reverse ,etc… the memory boy (i got it in a trade ), i´m not sure if will stay aboard ,this is an ever changing set-up …
i really love my pulsar and the nano small stone (not as musical sounding as my old ,sadly stolen ,seventies original ,this is most noticeable in the highest portion of the rate knob ) ,the yamaha flanger is moving out ,a little too bright sounding for the rest of the set-up ,i was using it for leslie type sounds …i also have an analog vibrato (dedalo fx ) next to the wah ,and if EH will make one i´ll sure try it ,
(the memory boy has excelent vibrato ,but i coulnt´d get it without delay) …
i ´m also considering a freeze and some sort of envelope follower ,like a bass balls or a qtron …but i´m finally real happy with the sounds i got now ..
other EH pedals that i got :
drm 16 drum machine
micro synth (original )
russian green big muff
crash drum
well ,thanks for reading ,cheers to all !hi folks ,new here …

December 21, 2010 at 3:07 pm #113239souljah671Memberhahaha, this isn’t a chain. I just wanted to take a picture of all my stomp-boxes. Nothing ever stays on a pedalboard forever–I’m always experimenting with effects-placement/usage.
December 21, 2010 at 3:20 pm #113240Kevin DemuthMemberNo EHX on the board at the moment.
I prefer using small selections of pedals and making the most of them – I rarely use more than 4 pedals at a time these days… but I do have 60 or so pedals that are in regular rotation.

December 22, 2010 at 3:20 pm #113249CryabetesParticipanthow’s the PN-2 stack up to the Stereo Pulsar or the Alesis Ampliton? think it’d be worth it for me to snipe one on ebay if i’ve got one of the others?
also, what’s the compression ratio on the vox compressor? is it a ‘clean’ compressor or more dynacomp-y?

I used to have the big box Pulsar but haven’t used the Stereo XO version; I had a bit of a love-hate relationship with the Pulsar – it could do some great things but also had some issues that irritated me.
I’ve also had lots of the other more common trems (Boss TR-2, Danelectro etc) and highly rated boutique tremolo pedals (Catalinbread, Empress, Red Witch, Demeter etc) and the PN-2 is my clear favourite.I like the PN-2 so much I have two of them – until recently I had three!
The Vox Compressor is a re-badged/re-housed (with minor tweaks) 1970s Guyatone Driving Box, which itself was a tweaked Dynacomp, I believe. I have the Guyatone too (Guyatone are my favourite effect company – I hope that doesn’t get me kicked off this forum!).
So yeah, it has a definite Dynacomp character – I haven’t used a vintage MXR to be able to compare personally, but I’ve read numerous reports which suggested that the Guyatone/Vox versions are ‘better’.
December 23, 2010 at 7:13 am #113265kjafarMemberQuote:Hey, I noticed that you had three “big muffs”, are those clones? Or are they the real vintage ones rehoused into newer cases? The reason I ask is because those are my favorite big muff versions, so I’m just curious.
