Jace!!!!! i love the solid metal pedal i so want one! its the best distortion from a pedal i have ever heard! its like having a Mesa Boogie triple rectifier under your foot! they even sound better then Mesa’s v-twin imo! where did you get yours and for how much? i want one of those or the other preamp and distortion, the “demonizer”
I got mine a few years ago from Music 123, I believe it was $199 if I remember correctly. I havent seen many places carry them anymore so you might have to go to Damage Control’s website to get 1.
Its totally worth it. imo its the best sounding distortion pedal out there. I want to buy another 1 as a backup just in case anything ever happened to it.
re sorted out my signal chain today and im really impressed with the sounds that ive now got, was starting to disike the pog2 tbh, couldnt fit a sound i liked out of it everything was too squeky and glitchy, and sounded crap with distortion, now its awesome
EHX White Finger – EHX Pog2 – EHX Worm – EHX English Muff’n – EHX Micro Pog – EHX Big Muff Tone Wicker – EHX Double Muff – EHX Holy Grail – EHX Stereo Electric Mistress – EHX DMM – Boss Tu2 (sits on top of amp) – Amp
really happy with the way it sounds, not totattly sure if im keeping the micro pog and the worm on the board yet there jsut there for a bit so i can how things sound, im thinking of selling them anyway (no spam intended) but not sure yet
these are just a few variations of what my board has been, ill post a pic tomoz of what its looking like today
o i absalutly made up my mind on it about a month before this come up in here,i ran into an old friend that told me to check it out, cuz we both had been looking for the best ultimate tube distortion pedal.
my double muff has been relocated. for a while i thought mine was faulty or just real noise by nature, and just last week i tried to figure out the issue, i tried different power sources, positions ect. i found out that my issue was that it did not like to be placed after my black finger tube compressor! it drives the signal a bit and gives the unit a loud hissing noise. so i placed it before my compressor and now theres no issues. i moved it around and tried many combination, it seems to just not get along well with the black finger.
i was going to make a post about this, maybe in the review section for other users having the same issues.
lots of people have the double muff in that possition, it only workd well for me first inline why??
ive tried mine in several places, and i like it in front but the purposes i have of it are that it gives me a single coil trebely sound with humbuckers and it sounds awesome,
i think it also depends with what your also using
for instance my Big muff sounds awesome with the english muff’n in front of it, any other od/dis pedal doesnt work with it, its ok with octave etc in front of it just no other od
