Hi Erratom! Nice board! Could you tell me about the G string Noise Decimator? How is it? I would like one too!

The Decimator G String is really the best noise gate pedal I know. It decimate noises drastically and keep enough sustain on clean channel.
The decay can be very short, specially for legato or heavy metal riffs.
Its loop works like on the Boss NS-2 -> http://fr.audiofanzine.com/membres/a.play,u.301399,s.photos.html

Actually, that pedal is a distortion pedal originally called the “Dr. Boogie”. I gave it the paint job and naming scheme. Here’s a demo: (nerdy voice ahoy!)

i think this guy plays bass, just kidding. what kinda guitar sounds can you get from a bass with a pog?

None really, but that’s not what I use it for. I just use it for the suboctave to fatten up my sound when I’m way up the neck. Sometimes I’ll add in a touch of the octave up to give it a little bit of an over-tone sound. Plus it can do the whole organ thing as well.

Got my guitar running into a compressor, then into the metal muff, then the hog which feeds into the amp. then in my effects loop i got the small stone, chorus ensemble and the memory man with hazarai. all great pedals, especially the EHX ones!! got my amp channel switch in there too-not sure whether to leave that off the board or not yet. still trying to decide whether to keep by hop before my amp or drop in into my effects loop – any suggestions? Only just got the actual board to mount it all on and what a pain it the butt its been to try and get everything to fit on in some kind of workable order-still a work in progress but im sure theres room on there for a few more pedals…….

Hog should be before your amp IMO. I have my HOG before all distortion

yeah i got it before my amp now but i put my metal muff in front of it so that when i use the freeze & gliss or freeze & volume functions i can stomp on that and play a tasty overdriven solo over the top of the hog

Yeah, that’s always nice. I do that by having the HOG and my main distortions in different chains.
