i agree with most peoples arguments on behalf of all the new EH treadle pedals, i think there great pedals but you cant hold a fixed position.
i have an idea that maybe EH can implement in future production of them.
well i assume it uses sum type of accelerometer, like a smart phone, to measure movement.
EH needs to add another axis to that system, so that when your at the position you want to hold, you can slightly tilt the pedal to the left or right and it would lock on to that sound, and resume normal function when moved again.
or maybe make the pedal pressure sensitive, so you can give it a little more force down, and it will hold sound position.
also a salutation for people complaining about not being able to fasten there pedal to there board.
i just use a long piece of Velcro, about a foot or so long, stuck to the back of another piece, like you would make a cable tie holder. but long enough to wrap around the pedal and attach to your board.
that way it would be held in place for transport, and all you need to do is take 1 second to unstrap it during setup to rock on!
anyone else have any other nice solutions ideas for this cool new series of pedals? please post them here!
no one can please everyone at any given time, and all though i agree with sum gripes about these pedals, they are an awesome new addition to our world! so instead of just bitching, how about we help each other find ideas to make them better instead of just complaining.
and maybe EH will actually listen to sum of the ideas, and implement them. they have listened to our posts and implemented our ideas in the past!
Never really wanted to attach a wah to a board myself, it always feels kinda odd to me, I like them flat on the ground slightly away from my other fx…. so that’s my solution to that one!!!
Doesn’t solve the lack of fixed position thing.
It’d be nice if they made a “pedalboard mounting kit” that offers a pivot that rests under the pedal, holds position, and can simply grab the pedal with a claw. Sound good?
using a crybaby does though.
