I’ve had a POG2 for a few months, since my band became a duo and i’m making bass, guit, and keys sounds all with my guitar. Take a listen to the POG pipe organ at about 35 sec into the first track “Curtain Call”: http://steel-phantoms.bandcamp.com/album/curtain-call
It takes a lot of careful tweaking to build a really good synth sound with the POG, but it’s worth it!
Now I wanna get a HOG some day… and I wanna get a SuperEgo, and maybe even another POG to put into the SuperEgo fx loop, but shucks, it’s gonna take soooo much footwork to do all this stuff.
It’s hard enough as it is to switch my delay sound, switch on my tube screamer, and switch on the POG to make the glorious church organ song… i’ve almost fallen over on stage a couple times already! And i get dirty looks from my bandmate when i don’t click everything at just the right time…
So are there any plans for EHX to include midi in any of these pedals? Why wouldn’t they? If they built a multieffects unit with all the freeze and gliss business along with all these POG/HOG sounds, it would be THE effect unit of the decade… even if it were to cost big money, pros would be all over it, and the beginners would pine for it.
I really really really wanna control all my effects with a single midi controller.
