Hello to you all,
I am thinking about buying a POG2 to perform a specific duty so I would like to make sure it does it before I splash out.
I want to be able to play bass parts whilst also playing guitar parts but I do not want a whole chord to be doubled -2 octaves, I just want the root of the chord to be doubled by the -2 octave whilst still having the dry signal of my guitar coming through over the top, unaffected.
My thoughts are that if I increase the -2octave volume and set the resonance of the lp filter to max and find a point on the lp filter slider where only, for example, notes below a fretted E on the A string will be effected by the -2 octave…..then in theory what I want to achieve will be achieved….?!
So, what is the direction of the signal? Does it go through the lp filter then to the octaves or vice versa? Will the lp filter be able to filter out all of the notes that I am playing that I do not want affected? Or is it not accurate enough?
Is there anyway I can achieve what I want to? Are there any other pedals you can think of?
The only other way I can think of is to split the signal, go through an lp filter, then an octave pedal, then rejoin the wet and dry signal and then to the amp?
WHAT A BRAIN ACHE!
Please help me out!
Thanks in advance!
Howard
well… you could always do a Yuri Landman and change around the pickups like so: http://www.hypercustom.com/twister.html
