    Hi,
My POG has been misbehaving recently, wonder if anyone can shed some light on what might be up with it.

The pedal is on a pedal board and hasn’t been bumped or bashed. When I plug in in power the LED comes on and the foot switch doesn’t do anything, also the effect is bypassed. If I disconnect and reconnect power the LED remains off and, as expected, the effect is bypassed but the foot switch will not engage the effect.

I’ve opened the pedal and from a quick glance all wires and connections seem ok. This is an intermittent problem, most of the time it works without any problems. Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Cheers,
    Colin.

I would check the unit for poor solder joints. If this is the full-size POG it may be around the photo relays.

Thanks, yeah it’s the full sized one, I’ll have a friend take a look at it. My skills with electronics are very limited :)

Did you get your POG fixed? Mine is having the same problem. Just curious if you got it fixed, and what the problem was,(and how expensive it might be to fix)

yeah it turned out that the foot switch had a bad connection, a friend re wired the switch and the unit is working fine. Probably worth checking if you have similar problems with yours. Shouldn’t be an expensive repair even if they have to replace the switch. Thankfully mine only cost a few beers :)

Cool, glad it worked for you. I will definitely get mine checked out as soon as I can as it is a pretty integral part of my set up. I got contact info for a highly recommended guy here in San Diego. Perhaps I’ll offer him a couple of beers..
