I have a POG that has completely stopped working. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, it just stopped turning on. The Power supply doesn’t work, and another thing that is odd is that most other power supplies don’t fit in the hole. However, is there anything I can do to get a new one? Or am I just out of luck. This is one of my favorite pedals I would love to not have to buy another one! any help is very much appreciated. Thanks alot,

-TroyYou can try a Boss PSA-120 AC Power Supply first. They are similar to the EH Power Supply. If that doesn’t work, I can get you the number to set up a repair. How long have you had it? Do you have all the warranty info and receipt?
January 22, 2009 at 4:34 pm #91417troydixonMemberI’ve tried several different power supplies. I use that Boss PSA-120 to power most of my other pedals, and I still can’t get it to work. Its just like it won’t even turn on. I don’t have the receipt (i bought it from a friend), but I would say its about 2 years old. I realize my option are probably pretty limited but I just wanted to see what they were.

-TroyEHX does offer Outside of Warranty repairs. The cost of the repair is $30. It’s evaluated and tested before it leaves the kitchen. Let me know what you want to do. I can set it up for you. Rest assure, the pedal will come back to you Micro and Poggin’!
January 22, 2009 at 4:48 pm #91421dsl1MemberIs this the Full Sized Pog?
I’m asking because you said that other Power Supplies won’t fit.
If so, you will need a 18V/500mA (although it only needs 220mA) Center Positive 2.1mm Barrel.
February 20, 2009 at 2:32 am #93639lilpirateMemberI have a POG and it too has stopped working. One day I plugged in the power and the red light turned on immediately which was odd because it usually only turns on when I step on the that button. I strummed my guitar but it sounded dry- then I clicked the switch on and off but the red light just stays on no matter what I do – with no effects on the guitar sounds. I got this from a friend and have been using it for about 8 months before this suddenly happened- any suggestions?? it’s getting power- it’s just not working- and that red light just stays on once it’s plugged in– does that sound familiar to anyone??

August 30, 2010 at 7:03 pm #111161JeroenMemberHello,
I have the same problem as lilpirate.
Did you manage to solve it without sending the pedal to EHX-centre?
It seems like a stupid problem but I’ve read the problem on-line over and over but have never read the solution. Thanks in advance
JeroenSeptember 2, 2010 at 4:07 am #111206twoofmanyMembersame exact problem, this is super disappointing, anybody know a quick radioshack fix? My guess is the power supply is bad, sometimes when I unplug it and plug it back in it works, I changed the adapter connector and got another 3 months out of it but now, same dang thing. Called EHX and they never got back.

September 21, 2010 at 9:28 pm #111570beedoolaParticipantThis is hilarious. My friend just brought me his POG to fix – having the same issue.
Can you all do me a favor and tell me how many wires are wired to the Switch? There are 2 wires on my friend’s POG switch – a yellow and a brown, however, there is some solder on a 3rd lug on the switch, with no wire going to it.
Thanks
September 22, 2010 at 4:26 am #111573twoofmanyMemberBeedola, it’s the same setup on my switch, let me know if you come up with anything. Any help would be appreciated. This thing costs too damn much to be so chronically broken.
September 22, 2010 at 4:28 am #111574beedoolaParticipantthats for the reply. I posted a thread over at Harmony Central, someone posted a pic and their POG insides are the same as my friend’s… Not sure what is up. A real bummer.
September 29, 2010 at 6:51 am #111717ep86MemberPLEASE HELP MY 3 YEAR OLD POG 1ST VERSION DOESNT WORK THE POWER SUPPLY SEEMS TO WORK BUT THE PEDAL MAKES BARLEY A SOUND AND IT SOUNDS LIKE SOME KIND OF MESSED UP RING MODULATOR BUT WERE TALKING BARLEY AUDIBLE SOUND FROM PEDAL
WHAT DO I DO?January 2, 2011 at 11:11 pm #113467LouisLouMemberI’m having pretty much the same issue. It basically just stopped working. The power supply has been finicky for months but then it started doing weird things like turning on without touching the footswitch, turning off without touching the footswitch, and working what seemed at random when actually pushing the footswitch.
The thing that scares me about the POG is it doesn’t seem easy to do a self-repair on… I opened it up and nothing seems obviously wrong, but I’m no circuit board guru. -
