Hey
I just played through the POG2, it was fantastic. I was going to get it until I saw the HOG on here. Is the HOG just a POG2 with more options, or do they have a different technology?
Im not able to test out a HOG, but if its the same ‘guts’ as a POG2, i wont mind ordering one. But if the HOG is a totally different technology, I wont risk getting one without testing.
Does anybody know the difference’s in technology (if any) on these pedals?
Thanks!

From the manuals:
“The HOG is an Octave and Harmonic Generator/Guitar Synthesizer that
can simultaneously generate multiple octaves and harmonics from your input signal.”“The POG2 can simultaneously generate multiple octaves from your input signal.”
There are too many difference for me to list – I think it would be better for you to read the
manuals.Hog:

The Hog is a Monster :metal: I highly recommend it :thumb:

Yeah, but what Im saying is, the POG2 was fantastic, but for me to order the HOG without being able to test it, the HOG would have to sound the same as the POG2 (not including the extra features of the HOG)and track just as fast. Do anyone know if this is the case with the HOG?

I haven’t played the POG2 to be able to compare the tracking/sound quality with the HOG, but from clips, they sound pretty similar. Just remember the HOG doesn’t have the detune feature. You can fake it with an expression pedal and step bend, but since there’s no combination of undetuned octaves and detuned octaves (only detuned octaves, matched against undetuned dry signal)

I own the Pog (1) & the Hog & I think they sound very different. I would not replace one for the other (if that’s your question).
The Hog is not an improved Pog or vice-versa.

There are loads of HOG videos on the EHX site & of course on YouTube. I originally was goiong to get a POG2 untill I heard about the HOG & after going through all the numerous videos I decided to go with the HOG as it just has so many more possibilities. -
