    Ned, one last question…I had a friend that had a similar problem with his amplifier and he said it was the input jack. The problem with my BMP seems to be revolving around that area…could it be a faulty jack? Just wanted your opinion before I try changing it.

    Buy a Digital Multi Meter for about 10 bucks and you will be able to answer all these questions and more. Its the simplest solution dude!

    It might be a solder problem. Maybe something heats up in the pedal’s jack when you plug it in, makes (or loses for that matter) the connection, and the contracts again when it cools? I’ve heard this to happen with vintage gibsons, not pedals, but I don’t know if it’s worth checking or not.
