Tagged: Expression pedal, Pitch Fork, Plus
Hey all,
I recently picked up a Pitch Fork+, and have been using it as a detuner, which has been great so far. However, I am still learning how to use this pedal, and the manual is unfortunately not much help with configuration.
I just picked up an M-Audio expression pedal (the EX-P model, recommended in the PF+ manual). When plugged in, it is not acting as expected. Instead of the octace shift sweep demoed in the official demo video (https://youtu.be/FJD2NWQKnao), the expression is detuning a half step. Toe-down is full octave, heel-down is a half step down.
How do you set an expression pedal up with the PF+ so that heel-down position is “base” pitch, and toe-down position is the “destination” pitch?
Additionally, is it possible to have the “base” pitch be tuned down, and then have the “destination” pitch be an octave above that? For example, a guitar tuned to E, with the “base” shifted to C#, with a destination of C# +1oct?
After playing around further, there is a knob on the expression pedal which controlled the sweep, so I have the expression pedal doing what it should at this point.
Still curious about if I can set my base to C# (-3), and then be able to use the expression to pitch shift up to an octave above (+9).
